Natalie Pattison is a clinical academic who has worked clinically in cancer, critical care and critical care outreach. Her current role is as FNF Clinical Professor of Nursing at the University of Hertfordshire and East and North Hertfordshire Trust. 
Until 2017, she was the lead for critical care follow-up service at The Royal Marsden for many years, combining this with a research role. Her research interests focus on her clinical area of critical care and critically ill ward patients, and cancer critical care. 
Natalie is currently leading work related to: the role of critical care outreach in transitions to end of life, end-of-life care in critical care, massage to enhance sleep in ICU, use of critical care diaries and critical care follow-up. Natalie is vice-Chair for both the UK Critical Care Research Group and the National Outreach Forum, and sits on the UK Critical Care Nursing Alliance and is the nursing representative for the NIHR National Specialty Group for Critical Care. She is also Associate Editor of European Journal of Cancer Care.
